Christmas in July
by Sebastien

Hi, it's me Sebastien again.  I just got back from my most recent adventures, and I can't wait to tell you all about it.  Mommy and Daddy took me and Sacha to see Santa Claus at his summer home.  It's called the "Village du Père Noël". It's not far from here (just a little north of Montréal).  It seems Santa likes to get away from the cold of the North Pole, so he comes down south each summer.

Village du Père Noël (Santa's Village)

Me and Sacha had a great time visiting Santa because he has so many fun things to do at his summer home...

I played on Santa's playground stuff.

I got to drive a little race car.

We went down some big slides.

              I did some bouncing.

Me and Sacha pretended to be elves!

I climbed all the way up to...

Santa's tree-house!

We met Frosty the Snowman!

Me and mommy getting ready to watch...

a magic show!

I played in a room full of balls.

I really liked the little paddle boats.

I got to pet some of Santa's animals.

We saw the reindeer!

The day we visited Santa's summer home was very hot.  Fortunately after all of our fun in the sun, we were able to cool off in Santa's pool.  It was a neat pool because Santa has candy cane water fountains, and a big Christmas tree that you can sit under.

Now a day at Santa's village would not be complete without of course meeting ol' Saint Nick himself. So, we went to his house where Santa was nice enough to pose for a few photos and to check with Mommy if we were being good so far this year.  I also gave him a few ideas of what type of toys that Sacha and I might want this Christmas.

Daddy had told me that Santa knows every language, and you know what?  He's right! Santa was speaking French and English to the kids with no problems.  I was a little curious as to why I didn't see a kitchen in Santa's house, so I asked him.  He told me that it was because his kitchen is in the north pole.  He only flies in with the reindeer each day for a few hours then goes back home to eat the treats that Ms. Claus baked while he was away.

After another fun filled day of adventure, Daddy drove us back home.  I'll be sure to write again when Sacha and I get back from our next trip.

Take care.
