Our Trip to the zoo

 Hi, it's me Sebastien again.  To celebrate my being done school for the year, Mommy and Daddy took me and Sacha on another adventure.  This time we went to the Granby Zoo.  it's located on the other side of Montreal, so we decided to go up a day early and stay at a hotel near the zoo.  This way we could be at the zoo bright and early the next day.  Once we got to the hotel, we had a few hours to spare, so we decided to check out their pool and playground.
   

After a quick swim, we went to the playground.  It was especially fun because they had swings that even Sacha could use.  So, Sacha got to play with me at the playground for the first time ever.  It was great.

We finished off our night by ordering some St-Hubert chicken,and watching a movie in our room.  The next morning we got up early, and after stopping for a big breakfast (daddy needs his bacon & eggs), we headed to the zoo.  

     
      
 I was very excited about my trip to the zoo, because Mommy and Daddy had bought me my very own digital Camera as an end of the school year present.  I couldn't wait to take lots of photos of all the animals at the zoo.

     

Unfortunately, I mostly just took photos of my finger on the lens (I'm sure I'll get better with time).  For now, Daddy and Mommy also took some photos, so I still have some to help with my adventure story.

We saw lots of animals at the zoo.  They had animals from all over the world.  Daddy got to see his favourite, the Tiger.  Mommy's favourite was the Emu.  Sacha's likes the elephants. And my favourite, of course, were the Zebras.  Here's a few photos of the animals we saw:
     

     

     

     

We liked this zoo because there were lots of ways for Sacha to experience the zoo animals too.  The zoo keepers even let me and Sacha touch some of their snakes.  They were all slimy and ewwww!

   
We also had lots of fun at the petting zoo.  It was kind of like being home on poppy's farm.

 Me and Sacha had lots of fun in the Zoo's Discovery Centre.  I spent lots of time trying out the Safari Jeep and pretending I was driving through the jungle.  Sacha, as you know, can't see with his eyes like we do, so we had to find another way to show him the animals. We helped him see the animals by using his hands to feel all their different furs that we found in the Zoo's Discovery Centre.  He really liked petting the furs, and hearing about each animal.
     

     

As you can see, we had lots of fun exploring at the Granby Zoo. Our adventures weren't over just yet though, because we went to the zoo's water park ,called Amazoo, to relax after our busy day of seeing the animals.  I'll write more about the water park a little later...
