MONTREAL ALOUETTES
HOCKEY GAME
- Fundraiser for Sacha -

A friend of ours organized an AMAZING fundraiser for Sacha.
It consisted of a hockey game featuring the
Montréal Alouettes Football Team

and hockey players from the local
Sun Coast Hockey League.

The event took place on February 25th, 2006
at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex
in Hawkesbury, Ontario.

The game's official first face off.

During the game our Member of Parliament,
Pierre Lemieux, stopped by to say hello.

The two teams were made up of half Alouette players and half local players.
The they were nicknamed the "red Alouettes" and the "white Alouettes".
The game was a real nail biter, with the red team reigning victorious over
the white team ,
with a final score of  9 to 8.

In between periods the fans were entertained by Touché, the team mascot.
The Alouette players also took time to sign autographs for all the excited fans.

A few Alouettes Cheerleaders were supposed to be there too, but they took a wrong turn on the way to Hawkesbury and missed the game.  Although, I'm sure many of the daddies at the game were a little disappointed,  Sacha didn't mind.  He had already met a couple Alouettes Cheerleaders last year through Jackie's work.

After the game, we attended the Déja Vu Restaurant
and had supper with all the players.

A big thanks to our friend

Jean Proulx
who put numerous hours into making the game a huge success.
We cannot express how much your kindness and hard work has touched us.
