Visit to the Fort - the adventures continue....

by Sebastien
Hi - it's me Sebastien!  I'm writing to tell you about more of my summer adventures.  After our day at the beach, we headed to Kingston.  This is where mommy and daddy used to live before they moved to French Canada! We went to this big old fort in Kingston that is called "Fort Henry".  It was built by the British peoples a long long time ago to keep those French guys in Quebec, and those Americans on the other side of the St. Lawrence where they belong.

You can see really far from the big fort

The fort is well guarded by all the army mans.

Daddy told me to pretend we're English while we were there, so we didn't raises the suspicions of those British army guys that run the fort.  They may not like the idea of the French infiltrating their big fort.....

I did my best to blend in....

Well, daddy's plan worked - because we didn't seem to have any problems.  We went to the main parade square where we watched the army mans show us how they would fight the bad guys.  They shot of some big canons and did some marching...

I'm not sure why they would chose a goat as a mascot though.

After the big army man show, we went and explored the fort.  I really liked it because it was like being in a big castle.  There was lots to see and do...

Mama & Sacha had fun while
Daddy & me tried on some army man stuff

We went to the dungeon and then
to the armoury to check out the army guns

the canons shoot these bowling balls          me and mama beside a big canon

Daddy, Sacha & me wore army suits, then I was
ready to go "gun" some bad guys

time for a family photo at the front gate

I really liked the fort.  It was lots and lots of fun.  We would have stayed longer, but the army mans wanted to lock it up before the night time came, in case the bad guys tried to sneak up. We made on final stop on the way out though.  Daddy thought it would be fun for me to see that even though Canada hasn't bought much army stuff since the Fort Henry first opened, we did scrape up enough money for one last thing...

Well, that's it for now.  Don't worry, I still have more adventures coming once daddy catches up with the photos.
