Our Trip to the Beach

Hi - it's me Sebastien!  Daddy finally got around to downloading some more photos from my adventures.  After my visit to the "firemans nuseum" in Port Hope, I went to see mommy's family in Belleville.   It was nice and sunny while we were there, so we decided to go swimming at the big "ocean" near Picton.  This was me and Sacha's first trip to the beach so we were very excited.  On the way we stopped and got lunch from my favourite restaurant - "the sandwich store" (also known as Subway) to take with us.  Auntie Carrie came with us too.  The ocean we went to is called the "Sandbanks".

 - Here we are -

 Sacha liked to feel the sand on his feet.  He never felt sand before. I really liked playing in the sand.  I was kind of like my sand box, but way way bigger.  Daddy got me a bucket and a shovel to make a sand castle.  With a little help from daddy, it was built in no-time.  Of course - like all things daddy builds - it was a little crooked and funny looking...
                                                                                                                


     

     

 After creating our version of Buckingham Palace, it was time for a swim.  I was a little worried about the sharks at first, because everyone knows there are sharks in the ocean...

After being reassured that there were no sharks in this particular ocean, I agreed to go for a swim.  Everyone went actually.  Even daddy - who's normally allergic to cold water.  The water was pretty warm, and Sacha liked it too 

          

    

 When we weren't swimming we laid in the hot sand on the beach.  Daddy even had a nap at one point - hot sun has that effect on him....
                                                           

When he woke a little while later, it was my turn to rest while he buried me in the sand right up to my neck.

I was a little dirty when mommy finally convinced him to dig me out...

 After our day at the beach, we went back to my grandpa Standing's house and finished the day off with a campfire.  It was lots of fun, because I got to burn meat in the fire (just like my dad does at home).

Sacha liked the it too.  He seemed to enjoy the smells and the heat from the fire.

 We had a really really fun time.  That's all for now, but I'll be sending more adventures before you know it, because daddy still has more photos to download for me.  Stay tuned for my next adventure real soon.
