Sitting On Top Of The World

by Sebastien

As part of our summer vacation, Mommy and Daddy took me and Sacha to the biggest city in Canada.  It's called Toronto.  We stayed at a very nice hotel in the SkyDome (which is where the Blue Jays play baseball).  It's located right beside this big tower called the CN Tower.

Here's a photo that Daddy
took of our hotel.

The CN tower goes way way high up in the sky.  Daddy told me that at 553.33 meters (1,815.39 feet) it's the "World's Tallest Building, Tower, and Free-Standing Structure".
I couldn't wait to go all the way up to the top to see what it looked like up there in the big blue sky.

Let's go to the top!

Daddy told me that when he was a little boy like me, his daddy took him up the CN Tower, so he thought it would be fun to go up it again.  I was very excited about going up it too.  Once we got our tickets, we got in line for the elevators.

It was a neat ride the top because the elevators have glass windows so you can see outside while you're going up.  Mommy didn't like looking out the windows though because it made her feel a little dizzy.

It was neat when we got to the first observation floor called the "Look Out".  You could see way way far.  All the people looked like ants and the cars on the street look like my little "Hot Wheels" toys.
Here's some photos of us enjoying the view

We even took a walk outside on the CN Tower's outdoor walkway.  It was really windy out there and our hair got all messed up.
On the windy walkway. Look at Sacha's messy hair.
One of the neat things at the CN Tower is that there is a part where the floor is made out of glass!  So when you walk on it it's like walking on air because you can see all the way down to the ground.  I had lots of fun jumping and dancing around on this glass floor.

The view through the glass floor.

For some reason when I would jump on the glass, the people around me would get little nervous.  Maybe they didn't know that the floor was made strong enough to hold a dozen hippos, so there was no way it was going to break...

Here we are on the glass floor

Standing on air Wow - look how far down it is

Even Mommy tried it out. Sitting on top of the world

After exploring the glass floor for a while, it was time to go to the highest part of the tower - the Skypod. Daddy tells me that it's the world's highest observation deck.  I can believe it because you can see way far far.

Here's some photos of us in the Skypod

Look - there's the SkyDome - that's where our hotel room is

Now if you figure that the CN Tower's Skypod, at 147 stories, is the world's highest observation deck, does that mean that Sacha set a world record for having the world's highest diaper change...?

a world record setting diaper.

After enjoying the view for a little while longer, we took the elevator back down.  It was nice to be back on solid ground.

I hope you enjoyed my adventure.  I'll be sure to write again soon because I have lots more to tell you about.
